Samu-Jussi Koski –
Spring/Summer 2008

Maija Isola’s Attica (1959) and Sireeni (1957) fabric prints form the cornerstones of Samu-Jussi Koski’s fresh and modern collection, in which the pulse of city life meets the stillness of nature.

Using the geometric Attica pattern, Samu-Jussi Koski has designed clothes that evoke the spirit of Art Deco. The rounded lines of the garments soften the angular forms of the printed design. Pleats, bows and ruffles lend the clothes a touch of femininity. All the styles in the Attica series are also available in single colour versions. The romantic clothes of the leaf-patterned Sireeni series transport one into the bosom of nature, and to the blissful summers of the 1950s.

The collection’s striped jersey clothes combine the traditional Marimekko look with modern trendiness.
