The themes in Marimekko’s autumn 2010 fabric collection are familiar: nature, harvests, getting back to the roots… What is new are the perspectives from which the designers have examined the themes. Joy and warmth can be felt and seen throughout the collection.
The modern classics of the spring collection Sateenkaari, Silkkikuikka, Unikko, Rautasänky and Pieni Melooni have been given a new look by Kristina Isola in a rich, enchanting autumn palette of colours including deep blue, purple and green tones, sophisticated greys and browns, warm orange and yellow hues... The ranks of the new classics are joined by two patterns picked from the treasure house of Maija Isola’s designs: Syksyn lehdet and Nostosilta, which is printed on velvet.
