Maija and Kristina Isola

Kristina Isola has adapted three of Maija Isola's nature-themed paintings from the late 70s into fabric prints in glorious shades of autumn. In those days, Maija Isola lived in the United States, and she felt that the trees there were very different from those in her native Finland. In the Madison WI design, tree branches are glimpsed through a curtained window, offering a view with a rhythm created by light and shade. Both Madison WI and the three leafy stripes of Rehevä kasvi make excellent curtain fabrics. Sola, with its verdant landscape, has a magical atmosphere about it.
