Harri Koskinen’s Frekvenssi pattern is the winner of the fabric design category in the global Elle Deco International Design Awards (EDIDA 2007) the purpose of which is to recognise "people and companies that bring style, beauty and ease to our lives”.

The competition comprises twelve categories: from products ranging from fabrics to furniture, to young design talent and designer of the year. The finalists in each category had been chosen by the editors of the 23 different editions of Elle Decoration worldwide. The Frekvenssi fabric was selected for the final by the Italian edition of the magazine. The global winners were decided by a jury consisting of the chief editors of Elle Decoration in different countries. Harri Koskinen and the other EDIDA 2007 winners will receive their awards at the Milan Furniture Fair in April 2008.

Harri Koskinen, one of the best-known young Finnish designers in the world today, has designed for Marimekko since 2006. He has received several awards, and his work has been showcased in numerous exhibitions all over the world. Functionality and uncompromising aesthetics characterise Koskinen’s clean designs.
