Iconic stripes with vivid brushstrokes
In Marimekko’s Autumn 2020 collection, vibrant flowers meet iconic stripes. The Piccolo pattern was painted by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi in 1953.
In the pattern, overlapping adjacent colors create a third intermediate shade. When other companies were trying to avoid this kind of ‘fault’, Marimekko made it part of the design. Piccolo has been in continuous production since 1953. Over the years, we have created as many as 2,500 imaginative color combinations.

Bold blossoms in sherbety shades
Embrace bold blossoms in sherbety shades. Reinterpretations of the archival Marimekko pieces from the 1960s and the 1970s, this season's airy designs all carry Maija Isola's painterly patterns.
