In the 1980s, many designers were enthusiastic to try out a half-dry brush on printed fabrics. The minimalistic Puuska (gust) is Maija Isola’s study of the method. This may have also been affected by the development of film technique: it was now possible to expose smaller and smaller details on film and printing stencils.
