The long-sleeved Vinde bodysuit is made of soft cotton and it has the poppy flower of the Unikko pattern. It features snap buttons on the left shoulder and a triple snap closure on the bottom. It has ribbed binding at the neckline, sleeve ends and leg openings.

Marimekko’s famous poppy pattern Unikko was born in 1964 in a time when the design house’s collections featured mostly abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from this organic theme and designed an entire range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.

Story of the print

Unikko

Unikko (poppy), symbolizing creativity, was born in a time when hardly any floral designs were included in Marimekko’s collections. Maija Isola, however, was fascinated by the theme of flowers and decided to create an entire range of novel floral prints.
