Erja Hirvi
Erja Hirvi is a Helsinki-based textile and print designer. In her patterns, everyday reality and imagination combine to form potent, color-rich stories.
Erja’s textile designs are often inspired by cities, gardens, and her travels. She has been collaborating with Marimekko since 1995, and her Lumimarja (snowberry) and Purnukka (jar) designs have become true Marimekko classics. In 2021, Erja was selected as Textile designer of the Year by The Finnish Association of Textile Artists TEXO.
