The countless stories about Marimekko and the gems found in its archive of colours and patterns are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for designers. Easy cooperation between the different teams when building a collection also feeds creativity, and so does the in-house printing factory where most of the prints of this spring collection received their final form.
All Marimekko interior fabrics and part of the fabrics used for clothing and bags are printed at Marimekko's own printing factory in Helsinki. Among this spring's fashion prints, Perenna (perennial plant) designed by Maija Isola in 1965 is one of the patterns printed in the heart of Marimekko.
