Maja

2011

When Ville Silvennoinen was asked to do his master’s thesis work for Marimekko, he returned to his grandmother’s home in eastern Finland, near the border with Russia, where he had spent his summers as a kid. There he would sketch away the day as he worked on Maja (hut) – a pattern inspired by his childhood building projects.
