The Patikka (hike) pattern consists of leaf-like shapes cut from paper that lay out a route on the fabric – an analogy to hiking in the forest, admiring nature. Patikka is a pattern pair to Antti Kekki’s earlier design, the abstract Kevätkiuru (spring lark), which has been featured in Marimekko’s home collection. The rhythm and composition of Patikka are designed with clothing in mind.
