Official Rules

These Official Rules govern the Prize Draw in European Union member countries ("Prize Draw"). By entering the Prize Draw, the entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules.

1.Organiser of the Contest
The Contest is organized by Marimekko Corporation, Puusepänkatu 4, 00880 Helsinki, Finland, ("Marimekko"), Tel. +358 9 758 71.

2.Duration of the Contest
The Prize Draw begins at 09:00 on Thursday 1 November 2018 and ends at 23:59 on Wednesday 14 November 2018.

3.Who can participate
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry into the Prize Draw and legal residents of EU. The Competition is open for new customers only. Existing customers or employees of Marimekko or its affiliates or partners or agents and members of their immediate families are not eligible to participate. Marimekko reserves the right to verify all eligibility. No purchase is required to enter the Prize Draw and a purchase will not increase chances of winning. Only one entry per individual is permitted and multiple entries will be disqualified. Entries are void where prohibited.

4.How to participate
Eligible entrants can participate in the Prize Draw by filling in the Marimekko loyalty program registration form online during the duration of the Prize Draw. In addition to registering as a customer (by filling in the registration form for the Marimekko loyalty program), eligible entrants are asked to submit a short answer on what do they love about Marimekko.

Amongst all eligible entrants who successfully complete all of the steps set out in section 4 above, one (1) prize winner for the Prize Draw will be drawn randomly by Marimekko Corporation on Thursday 15 November 2018. The odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received.The prize winner will be notified personally by email within two (2) days of the day of the drawing, and Marimekko may additionally contact the winner also by phone and mail. The winner of the prize will be required to confirm acceptance of the prize within ten (10) days from the date of the email notification. If the prize winner cannot or will not accept the prize, or prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable, prize will be forfeited and a redraw shall be conducted immediately. A redraw will be conducted at the same place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority.  The new winner will be notified personally by email within two (2) days of the day of the redraw.

The grand prize is an online voucher worth 500€ (which will be applied to the winner´s Marimekko online account). The voucher is valid for one (1) month from the date it has been applied to the winner´s Marimekko online account and can only be redeemed online at, not applicable in stores. The voucher is only valid on full priced items and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer. Free shipping will be provided on the purchase. All taxes on prize, if any, are the responsibility of the organizer of the prize draw. No substitution or transfer of a prize is permitted except at the sole discretion of Marimekko. No cash alternatives.

7.Personal data and publicity
The collection and handling of personal data is limited to the extent necessary for the administration of the Prize Draw and for such purpose the information submitted may be transferred within or between Marimekko and its affiliates, partners and agents and other third parties participating in arranging the Prize Draw, which may be located within or outside the European Economic Area. Personal data shall not be used for any other purposes.  Marimekko and its affiliates will use and handle personal data as set out in its privacy policy, which can be viewed at This privacy policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their personal information, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with.    
However, the winner of the Prize Draw agrees that the winner's name may be published in Marimekko's communications and marketing channels globally (such as social media). Marimekko may at its discretion use such materials in Marimekko's communications and marketing channels globally without additional compensation.

Marimekko is not liable for any indirect damages or damages that the organiser could not reasonably have foreseen. Marimekko is not liable for damages caused by third parties or reasons not attributable to the organizer (such as interruption of the Draw or damages attributable to a failure in data network connections), if the organizer could not have avoided these by acting diligently. Marimekko accepts no responsibility whatsoever for damage or loss resulting from misdirected, illegible or incomplete entries, and by taking part in the Prize Draw the entrant warrants that all information submitted is true, current and complete at the time of submission. It is entrant's sole responsibility to ensure that entrant's (contact information) details are accurate. Marimekko accepts no responsibility for any changes which are not properly notified from the time of submission of the entrant's entry to the end date of the Prize Draw. Marimekko reserves the right to alter or amend these Official Rules and will publish any such changes. The prize winner shall relieve Marimekko and all of the companies that participated in planning and implementing the Prize Draw from all responsibility relating to injury or damage arising from entering into the Draw or from redeeming and using the prize. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these Official Rules shall be deemed to exclude or limit in any way Marimekko´s liability in respect of: (i) fraud or deceit. Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of this Prize Draw or the prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the laws of England and Wales. If any provision of these Official Rules is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties´ intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of these Official Rules remain in full force and effect.
