Made from unbleached cotton, this tea cosy features the Pieni Unikko pattern, which is printed in Helsinki. The tea cosy has a padded filling and a hanging loop.
This fabric was printed with natural indigo, a plant-based dye extracted from Finnish woad. It is characteristic that color will naturally soften during washes, use and light. Please store this product away from light.
Marimekko’s famous poppy pattern Unikko was born in 1964 in a time when the design house’s collections featured mostly abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from this organic theme and designed an entire range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.
