Over the years, Mika Piiranen has designed fashion for women, men and children alongside a variety of accessories: bags, hats, umbrellas and more. His design aesthetic favours minimalism, originality and practicality, continuing to honour the original design values of Marimekko.
Mika Piirainen is a Helsinki-based fashion designer who has worked for Marimekko since 1994. He received the Finnish fashion design award Golden Hanger in 2010.
