The small Kaika cosmetic pouch is made of heavyweight unbleached upholstery cotton with a stain-repellent finish on the outside. The pouch has a zipper closure and a nylon lining on the inside. The Piekana pattern is printed in Helsinki.
The Piekana (rough-legged buzzard) check pattern was originally part of a collection entitled Iso karhu (Ursa Major), which was inspired by a book depicting the life of the Finno-Ugrian peoples as well as by textiles patterned using the traditional ikat dyeing technique.
