Paavo Halonen

Paavo Halonen is a Helsinki-based contemporary artist born in Enonkoski, a small rural parish in eastern Finland.

Filtered through rich cultural layers, Paavo’s roots are evident in his work. In recent years, he has spent long periods of time in Vietnam, Hong Kong, Paris, and Tatarstania. Paavo has been collaborating with Marimekko since 2011. Among his most recognizable Marimekko prints are Sahalaitaraita (sawtooth stripe) and Torstai (Thursday).
