Made from a cotton, this cushion cover features the nostalgic Vihkiruusu pattern. The cover has a concealed zipper on one side.
Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko, had publicly announced that Marimekko would never print floral patterns. Maija Isola, who did not like such restrictions, protested by designing an entire series of floral prints. Once Ratia saw the designs, she immediately decided to include eight of them in Marimekko’s collection. Vihkiruusu (wedding rose) was one of those designs, as was the iconic Unikko (poppy).
