Vibrant flowers for a good life
In 2020, Marimekko's collections celebrate vibrant florals and express the joie de vivre that the new decade brings.
For the Pre-Spring 2020 collection, our creative community delved into the mindset of people for whom gardening is both a great passion and an essential part of their lifestyle.
Powerful & delicate
Welcome a spring garden into your wardrobe with the new, inspiring florals by Lotta Maija.
The Herbaario (herbarium) design is simultaneously powerful and delicate. Various contrasting elements – big and small flowers, sharp and round shapes – combine for a fascinating interplay.
A fresh breeze
The idea for the Tuulahdus (breeze) pattern came about on a windy day at a summer cottage – a strong easterly wind brought unusually large waves to the shore, and grass and flowers swayed back and forth in the yard.
Flowers in full bloom
Refresh your wardrobe with cheerful flowers. Kevättalkoot (springtime communal work) is a fine example of the stylized nature-themed patterns designed by Fujiwo Ishimoto.
A floral take on the pinstripe
Fall in love with a floral take on the pinstripe. The Viivakukka (line flowers) pattern by Satu Maaranen is composed of carnations arranged in rows.
Painterly prints & lavender dreams
This season, embrace painterly prints and dreamy lavender hues. The exuberant floral design Talkoot (communal work) was created by Fujiwo Ishimoto in 1978.
