Created using the paper cut technique, the Rappu (steps) pattern makes you think of a functionally designed staircase with handrails following the lines of the steps. This Antti Kekki design depicts a moment of transition: feet on the steps and hands on the curved rail. The pattern draws inspiration from Marimekko’s archive patterns and modernistic Finnish architecture.
