Welcome to the world of Karla.
Inspired by the eye-catching form of a candy wrapper, the Karla bag brings a playful idea into leather. Designed by Anna Werner, it turns a small, everyday moment into something lasting: a collector’s item and a true Marimekko icon.
The silhouette does most of the talking. Rounded, softly gathered, slightly unexpected. Karla stands apart from traditional leather bags with a shape that feels both familiar and new. Crafted in leather, it has a tactile quality that evolves with use, gaining character over time.
It’s a bag that fits easily into the day. Enough room for what you need, a shape that holds its own, and just enough attitude to lift even the simplest outfit. Not trend-driven, not trying too hard. Just distinct.
The Karla family comes in different sizes for different moments. The original Karla works as an everyday companion. Pikku Karla offers a more compact option for lighter days or evenings out. Karla Pocket brings the same signature shape into a hands-free format. Each one carries the same design idea, just scaled to suit your pace.
Color plays its part, too. Seasonal shades shift from soft and understated to bright and expressive, alongside classic tones that return year after year. Each color gives the form a slightly different mood.
Karla is more than a leather bag. It’s a study in shape, a nod to nostalgia, and a reminder that inspiration can start anywhere, even with a piece of candy on your desk.
