    cotton, l-blue
    cotton, pear
    natural white, chestnut

This cotton sateen fabric features the Iso Unikko pattern, which is printed in Helsinki.

Fabric is 100% organic cotton and fabric is unbleached. Unbleached cotton fabric has a natural lively color and surface, where small dark dots originated from the cotton plant may appear. There may be differences between products regarding this feature.

Printing large-print fabrics using the flatbed method leaves a repeat line at the edge of the pattern, and the prominence of this line depends on the fabric´s colour and pattern. The repeat line is not a flaw but a feature of the printing technique that can also be used as an effect.

Unikko, symbolizing creativity, was born in a time when hardly any floral designs were included in Marimekko’s collections. Maija Isola, however, was fascinated by the theme of flowers and decided to create an entire range of novel floral prints.

    Maija Isola, 2023

The year 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of Unikko, one of the most recognized Marimekko print designs in the world. Iso Unikko is a stylized variation of the beloved floral created by Maija Isola in 1964. In this large-scale, minimalistic version, the Unikko pattern is represented without its details, the eyes and stems.
