    Fujiwo Ishimoto, 1989

Stripes have always been an integral part of the Marimekko pattern world. The Korsi (straw) print, createdby Fujiwo Ishimoto, draws inspiration from Finnish nature. Linework and various stripe variations are characteristic of Fujiwo’s design – like many seemingly simple yet cleverly crafted patterns.

This cotton fabric features the Korsi pattern, which is printed in Helsinki.
