The Isot Kivet- pattern on this heavyweight cotton fabric is printed in Helsinki.
Maija Isola created the Kivet fabric in 1956 by cutting out rounds of coloured paper with scissors. The print´s shapes likely originate from the large, rough-edged stones cleared from the site of the artist´s studio home. In this variation, Isot Kivet (1959), the original pattern has been blown up on a larger scale.
This product is certified in accordance with STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® (SE 08-1621 Swerea IVF).

Isot kivet Näkki
The Isot kivet Näkki print is a beautiful fusion of two Maija Isola designs from different decades. In this modern, contemporary interpretation created by Marimekko’s design team in collaboration with the Isola family, large surfaces create a sophisticated dialogue with a dense stripe rhythm.
