Pilvi Stars Falling Into Place

The Pilvi knitted pullover has a unisex fit, and it features the jacquard knit Stars Falling into Place pattern. The pullover has a ribbed O-neck and wide ribbing at the sleeve ends and hemline. The pullover can be transformed into a vest by removing the sleeves, which have button lists at the armholes.

This product is made of a cotton blend, which contains 98% organic cotton and 2% polyamide.

The product is part of a special collection designed for Marimekko by Rolf Ekroth, one of Finland’s most internationally acclaimed new-generation fashion designers.

Part of Marimekko's Artist in Residence program, Danish textile artist Vibeke Rohland focuses on removing the superfluous to reveal the essence of form, color and contrast. Stars falling into place is a bold deconstruction of the familiar plus sign, with strong color blocks embracing empty space. Created on-site at the printing mill and developed into an industrial print design in close collaboration with the Marimekko team, the artwork evokes a sense of wholeness, as everything ultimately finds its balance. Through the Artist in Residence program, Marimekko celebrates and advances the art and science of printmaking by inviting guest artists to create future Marimekko print icons.
