Pisteinen Unikko

The Pisteinen t-shirt dress is made of cotton jersey and it has a slim, A-line fit. The dress features the Basso pattern, an O-neck with a self-fabric finish, and a central seam in the back.

The cotton used in this product is organic.

Unikko, symbolizing creativity, was born in a time when hardly any floral designs were included in Marimekko’s collections. Maija Isola, however, was fascinated by the theme of flowers and decided to create an entire range of novel floral prints.

Marimekko’s famous pattern Unikko was born in 1964 in a time when the design house’s collections featured mostly abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from this organic theme and designed an entire range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.
