Coming this spring: Kalevala x Marimekko
Two beloved Finnish design brands, known for their timeless ethos, have teamed up. Marimekko and Kalevala Jewellery announce a limited-edition jewellery collection to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic Unikko pattern.
Designed by Maija Isola in 1964, Unikko now receives a stunning new expression from skillful jewellers at Kalevala Jewellery. The Unikko-shaped jewellery pieces will be handcrafted from 100% recycled silver at Kalevala Jewellery’s factory in Helsinki, Finland.
Kalevala Jewellery and Marimekko are both bold trailblazers in their respective fields. While Marimekko constantly pushes the boundaries of print design, Kalevala breaks conventions in jewellery design with its sculptural pieces and designs that express powerful narratives.
The exclusive Kalevala x Marimekko collection will be available in autumn 2024 at Marimekko and Kalevala Jewellery stores, online stores, and retailers in selected markets. The jewellery pieces will be unveiled at a future date.
