Unbleached cotton fabric has a natural lively color and surface, where small dark dots originated from the cotton plant may appear. There may be differences between products regarding this feature.
Printing large-print fabrics using the flatbed method leaves a repeat line at the edge of the pattern, and the prominence of this line depends on the fabric's colour and pattern. The repeat line is not a flaw but a feature of the printing technique that can also be used as an effect.
The year 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of Unikko, one of the most recognized Marimekko print designs in the world. Iso Unikko is a stylized variation of the beloved floral created by Maija Isola in 1964.
