While living in the Appalachian Mountains, Maija Isola collected large plants on walks and turned them into paintings and patterns. In 1979, she created the Vuoren kasvit print, now featured on a jacquard cushion cover and art fabric.
New shades for Carina Seth Andersson’s beloved Säkki and Mini vases, both crafted from mouth-blown glass.
A year of florals
In 2025, we celebrate the full bouquet of Marimekko florals. Flowers will take center stage—not only in our prints, but as inspiration for techniques, colors, shapes and silhouettes.
One of the latest additions is Valssi by Aino-Maija Metsola. Painted with balmy summer evenings in mind, the bold yet delicate floral print features transparent petals that evoke the movement and rhythm of a floral dance.
