At the turn of the 1960s, Maija Isola became inspired by folk art and designed the decorative Ornamentti (ornament) series of lacy prints reminiscent of traditional embroidery motifs. Launched in 1963, the delicate and small-scaled Myrtti (myrtle) continued the ornamental theme.
