Return policy

Returns & Exchanges

At Marimekko, we are pleased to offer refunds, exchanges* or credit notes on eligible items within the timeframes outlined below.

Full-price items: Return within 30 days for refund, exchange* or credit note.

Sale items: Return within 14 days for credit note or exchange*.

Items purchased online may be exchanged in-store only. We cannot facilitate exchanges through our online store.

Final Sale items cannot be returned unless faulty.

This policy operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Change of mind - Full price items

Full-price items may be returned within 30 days of purchase for:

  • Refund
  • Exchange*
  • Credit note

To be eligible for return, items must be:

  • Accompanied by proof of purchase
  • Unworn, unwashed and unused
  • In original packaging with all tags attached

Marimekko reserves the right to refuse a return that does not meet these conditions.

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is deemed faulty or required under Australian Consumer Law.

Temporary promotions

Full-price items purchased during a temporary promotion remain classified as full-price items and are eligible for refund in line with our standard return policy.

Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively outside of the promotional period.

We encourage you to consult our sizing guide available on each product page under “Find My Size” prior to purchase.

Sale items

Sale items (excluding fabrics) may be returned within 14 days of receiving your order for a:

  • Credit note
  • Exchange (in-store only)

Sale items are not eligible for refund unless deemed faulty and required under Australian Consumer Law.

Sale items are not eligible for free returns unless deemed faulty. We recommend using registered post when returning sale items.

Final Sale items

Items marked as Final Sale are not eligible for return or exchange unless deemed faulty.

By purchasing a Final Sale item, you acknowledge that the item cannot be returned for change of mind.

Non-returnable items

  • Fabric: All fabrics are cut to measure and are final sale.
  • Earrings: Due to hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be returned unless deemed faulty.

In-Store exchanges for online orders

Online orders may be exchanged in-store within 30 days of purchase (or 14 days for sale items), excluding outlet products and cut to measure fabrics.

To complete an exchange in-store, you must present a digital or printed copy of your order confirmation email (packing slips are not accepted).

Exchanges are available for item/s of equal or greater value only. Marimekko stores are unable to provide refunds or credit notes for online purchases.

Items exchanged in-store cannot be returned via our online returns process.

If you wish to exchange in-store, please do not lodge your return through the Online Returns Portal - simply visit your nearest Marimekko store within the eligible timeframe.

If your item is damaged or faulty, please contact our Customer Service team and return the item via our online store. Faulty items cannot be processed in-store.

In-Store purchases

Items purchased in-store may be returned for a return, exchange or credit note to any Marimekko retail store within the eligible timeframe in accordance with this policy.

Our online store is unable to process returns or refunds for items purchased in-store.

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact our Customer Service team.

Faulty items cannot be processed in-store and must be returned via our online process.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected by this policy.
